Attachment A <br />DRAFT <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING AN INVESTMENT <br />POLICY; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2034 <br />WHEREAS, the investment of public funds must comply with all applicable state and <br />local requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, a comprehensive investment policy ensures that public funds are <br />invested in a manner that will provide maximum security with the highest investment <br />return while meeting daily cash flow demands; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 6, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2034 <br />adopting an investment policy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to strengthen and align the policy with prudent <br />and contemporary financial investment practices; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to implement an Environmental, Social, and <br />Governance (ESG) investment strategy utilizing ethical investing as a guiding principle; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to incorporate climate change as a factor in <br />investment risk and strategy, aligning with broader sustainability goals. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, <br />WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Repealer. Resolution No. 2034 is hereby repealed. <br />Section 2. Findings Incorporated and Adoption.
