n. Developing alternative dispute mechanisms that may be deployed to assist <br />the public in resolving low-level issues such as barking dog complaints. <br />o. Working with Contracting Cities to plan disaster response for animal <br />sheltering and care. <br />p. Ensuring there is at least one meeting each year within each Control District <br />between the County animal control officer representatives and Contracting <br />Cities' law enforcement representatives. <br />q. Identifying, discussing and where appropriate recommending actions to <br />implement ideas to generate additional revenue to support operation and <br />maintenance of the Animal Services Program, including but not limited to <br />providing input and advice in shaping the terms of any proposed <br />Countywide voted levy to provide funding support for the Animal Services <br />Program. <br />12. Reporting. The County will provide the City with an electronic report not less <br />than monthly summarizing call response and Program usage data for each of the <br />Contracting Cities and the County and the Animal Services Program. The <br />formatting, content and details of the report will be developed in consultation with <br />the Joint City -County Committee. <br />13. Amendments. Any amendments to this Agreement must be in writing. This <br />Agreement shall be deemed to incorporate amendments to Agreements between <br />the Contracting Parties that are approved by the County and at least two thirds <br />(66%) of the legislative bodies of all other Contracting Parties (in both number and <br />in the percentage of the prior total Estimated Payments owing from such <br />Contracting Parties in the then current Service Year), evidenced by the authorized <br />signatures of such approving Parties as of the effective date of the amendment; <br />provided that this provision shall not apply to any amendment to this Agreement <br />affecting the Party contribution responsibilities, hold harmless and indemnification <br />requirements, provisions regarding duration, termination or withdrawal, or the <br />conditions of this Section. <br />14. General Provisions. <br />a. Other Facilities. The County reserves the right to contract with other shelter <br />service providers for housing animals received from within the City or from <br />City residents, whose levels of service meet or exceed those at the County <br />shelter for purposes of addressing shelter overcrowding or developing other <br />means to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency or capacity of animal care and <br />sheltering within King County. <br />Document Dated 5-29-12 <br />13 <br />
