himself or herself to an "on -duty" status in response to an emergency <br />involving an immediate threat to human life, or serious threat to <br />person or property, or in response to a Code 3 request for officer <br />assistance in the City limits of Tukwila. <br />D. Callback and Court. <br />An employee who is required to work outside his/her regular shift, or <br />on his/her day off (including being called into court on matters arising <br />directly from the Sergeant's employment as a Tukwila police <br />Sergeant) shall be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) hours pay at <br />one -and -one-half times his/her regular hourly rate of pay; provided <br />the callback is not an extension after the employee's normal shift. If <br />the assignments require time over the three-hour minimum, all time <br />over the three hours and outside the employee's normal workday <br />shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate. An employee directed <br />back to work for one hour or less before the next scheduled shift shall <br />be paid on the basis of the overtime actually worked and the overtime <br />minimum shall not apply. <br />1. Sergeants assigned to the graveyard/night shift who are <br />scheduled for court during hours the employee would not be <br />regularly scheduled to work between two scheduled <br />graveyard/night shifts will be granted an eight (8) consecutive <br />hour rest period beginning when the court <br />requirements/obligations are over and will not be required to <br />report back to work until the end of such rest period. In this <br />instance Sergeants will be compensated at time -and -one-half <br />for their court attendance, and double time will not apply. A <br />Sergeant will not have his/her shift extended as a result of the <br />operation of this paragraph and the Sergeant will be paid, at <br />the regular straight time rate, for all hours he/she was <br />scheduled on a graveyard/night shift but did not work because <br />of the above rest period. <br />9 <br />183 <br />
