will report for duty and work the remainder of the scheduled <br />shift. If there are multiple days of training the Sergeant will not <br />report back to work between the training days. The patrol <br />Sergeant will not have his/her shift extended as a result of the <br />operation of this paragraph. <br />3. Training on Last Work Day <br />Training will be paid at time -and -one-half. There will be an 8- <br />hour rest period before the beginning of the training. <br />C. Training for SWAT <br />The City retains the right to adjust the regular shifts of SWAT <br />members to attend SWAT training. When working an adjusted shift <br />to attend SWAT training, SWAT members will receive straight time <br />for the first twelve (12) hours worked and time -and -one-half (1-1/2) <br />for any hours in excess of twelve (12) and will receive double time <br />pay for any hours in excess of thirteen (13) hours. SWAT members <br />will be given a minimum of eight (8) hours rest before attending <br />SWAT training at no cost to them. <br />D. Employees Reporting back to Shift after Training <br />If the Sergeant is in training for less than a full twelve-hour shift, the <br />employee may be required to report back to his/her regular <br />assignment at the conclusion of training. In the event the employee <br />is not required to report back to his/her regular assignment at the <br />conclusion of training, the employee will be paid for the entire shift, <br />as long as the employee was in training for eight (8) hours or more. <br />SECTION 4.9 Daylight Savings Time. Employees who are working on the <br />graveyard shift when the clocks are moved back one hour will be paid one <br />hour at the overtime rate of time and one-half. Employees who are working <br />on the graveyard shift when the clocks are moved forward one hour (other <br />than those who are regularly scheduled to be off at 2 a.m.) shall have the <br />15 <br />189 <br />
