option of going off duty at their normal quitting time and utilizing one hour of <br />vacation or compensatory leave, or working an additional hour to complete <br />normal shift hours without additional compensation. <br />ARTICLE 5 - SALARIES <br />SECTION 5.1 Agreement. The Employer agrees to maintain salaries during <br />the term of this Agreement as set forth in Appendix A & B. <br />SECTION 5.2 Additions. This Agreement shall be opened for the purpose <br />of negotiating salaries for new classifications affecting employees in the <br />bargaining unit. Nothing in this section shall preclude the Employer from <br />establishing new positions or classifications. <br />SECTION 5.3 Longevity Pay. All Sergeants in the bargaining unit shall <br />receive monthly Longevity Pay in addition to their monthly base rate of pay <br />as follow: <br />SERVICE TIME <br />MONTHLY AMOUNT <br />AFTER 5 YEARS <br />2% <br />AFTER 10 YEARS <br />4% <br />AFTER 15 YEARS <br />6% <br />AFTER 20 YEARS <br />8% <br />AFTER 25 YEARS <br />10% <br />ARTICLE 6 - PREMIUM PAY <br />SECTION 6.1 Premium Pay. Monthly premium pay equivalent to a percent <br />of the top sergeant monthly wage in the amount of five percent (5.0%) shall <br />be paid to employees assigned to the following specialties: <br />Auto Theft Task Force Sergeant <br />Community Police Team Sergeant (CPT Team) <br />Detective Sergeant <br />Professional Standards Sergeant <br />16 <br />190 <br />
