Special Weapons and Tactics Sergeant (SWAT) <br />TAC Team Detective Sergeant <br />Traffic/Motorcycle Sergeant <br />VNET Detective Sergeant <br />FTO Sergeant <br />This premium shall be paid in addition to the normal salary structure contained <br />in Appendix A. In no event may an employee receive premium pay for more <br />than one specialty except that employees assigned to SWAT who receive <br />premium pay for another specialty will be paid as set forth below. <br />SECTION 6.2 SWAT Pay. The SWAT premium pay can be stacked with <br />another type of premium pay to which an employee is entitled in the amount <br />of 2% of the top police Sergeant monthly wage, for a total combined <br />premium pay of seven percent (7.0%) of the top police Sergeant monthly <br />wage. There will be no pyramiding of premium pay. In return, the City will <br />have the right to adjust the regular shifts of SWAT members to attend SWAT <br />training, pursuant to Article 4.9.C. <br />ARTICLE 7 - DEPARTMENT WORK RULES <br />SECTION 7.1 Generally. The parties recognize that circumstances change <br />from time to time during the term of labor agreements that give rise to a <br />need to discuss changes in hours or working conditions (including the scope <br />of bargaining unit work). In order to provide a convenient forum to discuss <br />these issues, the parties agree to the procedure set forth in Section 7.2. <br />SECTION 7.2 Procedure. This Agreement may be amended within the <br />scope of this Article provided both parties concur. Supplemental <br />agreements may be completed through negotiations between the parties at <br />any time during the life of this Agreement. A joint committee comprised of <br />representatives of the two parties will meet upon the request of either party <br />to discuss proposals related to work hours or changes in working conditions, <br />including the scope of bargaining unit work.
