County. Particularly in the busier seasons of the year (spring through fall), <br />lower priority calls may only receive a telephone response from the Call <br />Center. Lower Priority calls are non -emergent requests for service, including <br />but not limited to: <br />1. Non -emergent high priority events, <br />2. Patrol request — (ACO requested to patrol a specific area due to <br />possible code violations), <br />3. Trespass, <br />4. Stray Dog/Cat/other animal confined, <br />5. Barking Dog, <br />6. Leash Law Violation, <br />7. Deceased Animal, <br />8. Trap Request, <br />9. Female animal in season, and <br />10. Owner's Dog/Cat/other animal confined. <br />e. The Joint -City County Committee is tasked with reviewing response <br />protocols and recommending potential changes to further the goal of <br />supporting the most appropriate use of scarce Control Service resources <br />countywide. The County will in good faith consider such recommendations <br />but reserves the right to make final decisions on response protocols. The <br />County will make no changes to its procedures that are inconsistent with the <br />terms of this Exhibit A, except that upon the recommendation of the Joint <br />City -County Committee, the County may agree to modify response with <br />respect to calls involving animals other than horses, livestock, dogs and cats. <br />f. In addition to the ACOs serving specific districts, the following Control <br />Service resources will be available on a shared basis for all Parties and shall <br />be dispatched as deemed necessary and appropriate by the County. <br />1. An animal control sergeant will provide oversight of and back- <br />up for ACOs five days per week at least 8 hours/day (subject to <br />vacation/sick leave/training/etc.). <br />2. Staff will be available to perform animal cruelty investigations, <br />to respond to animal cruelty cases, and to prepare related <br />reports (subject to vacation/sick leave/training/etc.). <br />3. Not less than 1 ACO will be on call every day at times that are <br />not Regular ACO Service Hours (including the days per week <br />that are not included within Regular ACO Service Hours), to <br />respond to High Priority Calls posing an extreme life and <br />safety danger, as determined by the County. <br />g. The Parties understand that rural areas of the County will generally receive a <br />less rapid response time from ACOs than urban areas. <br />Document Dated 5-29-12 <br />20 <br />
